Set the Bar.
f you have kids or have an influence on nieces, nephews, and other young kids, listen up. We have been given the incredible responsibility to SET THE BAR for how our kids view marriage. We are the window they look through to see what a healthy, God-honoring marriage looks like.
Our kids or those we influence get a front-row seat to how marriage works or doesn’t work. Perfection is not the bar we are trying to set, but rather a marriage that is built on faith, humility, and selflessness. Thanks to TV, movies and the friends they may hang with, kids have an unhealthy and distorted view of marriage and sadly, a clear view of what divorce and dysfunction look like.
Let’s be the change, let’s set the bar higher. You carry the baton of marriage and every decision and choice you make today and in the future is a decision for the picture of marriage you are giving to the kids and young adults around you. Your marriage will make an impact for generations to come, what will your's be?
