Bro- You’re a Gardener

Green thumb or not, you’re a gardener in your marriage, and your wife is the garden! From the beginning we see Adam was called to physically work the Garden of Eden, to care for it.

Genesis 2:15 “The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”

God placed in Adam the heart of a nurturer, a gardener, which was preparing him to nurture and care for the greatest gift he would be given- Eve. Yet, when the moment came, he stood by his helpmate and didn't take responsibility for her heart, to cultivate it, he blamed her, “It was the woman you gave me who gave me the fruit, and I ate it.” A gardener takes responsibility, even if it’s not his fault. He knows he is called to love, protect, nurture, and water the garden he has been given.

As a husband, you are called to be a gardener cultivating the heart of your wife and not seeing a problem, but an opoportunuyt to walk alongside and help her heal. Get into her mess, and take responsibility. Remember, the death of Christ was not his fault, but it was his responsibility. He carried the weight and paid the price giving himself for you and I. He was the ultimate gardeder and He asks you to do the same for your bride
